Eli Hattem

Mr. Hattem is one of the founding partners of Lateral Partners. He is involved in all aspects of the company's business and is an integral part of the firm's Investment Committee. Mr. Hattem is focused on sourcing and evaluating best-in-class operating partners to generate high-quality deal flow for Lateral's investment strategies.

Mr. Hattem has broad experience in commercial real estate investment and finance that includes over 2,700 transactions totaling more than $30 billion. During his career, he has invested in commercial real estate assets, purchased pools of non-performing debt, managed lending platforms, brokered debt and equity, and negotiated dozens of workouts.

He has worked at major financial institutions including Merrill Lynch, DLJ, Chase and CIBC and was one of the founding partners of Park Bridge Financial, a boutique investment and advisory firm.

Anand Kapadia

Mr. Kapadia is a founding partner of Lateral Partners. He is involved in all aspects of the company's affairs and is an integral part of the firm's Investment Committee. Mr. Kapadia is focused on capital markets and investor relations in an effort to finance Lateral's growing forward pipeline.

Mr. Kapadia is a seasoned finance professional with a diverse background spanning over thirty years. He has developed hotels and commercial real estate, been instrumental in creating unique energy and real estate finance platforms, and has provided consulting services to numerous principal owners, investors, and financial institutions.

He has been an executive with major financial services companies including Credit Suisse, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, and Oppenheimer. He has designed and implemented debt, equity, and structured finance programs, and is responsible for over 1,100 CRE transactions totaling more than $10 billion.

Alexander Rothaus

Mr. Rothaus is a Managing Director of Lateral Partners, where he helps lead the firm's capital formation, investor relations, and marketing strategy. He is focused on building and maintaining relationships with family offices and private equity real estate firms to support the firm's investment strategies.

Mr. Rothaus also oversees the firm's operational infrastructure and technology initiatives, building systems that improve sourcing, investor reporting, and execution across the platform. His background in technology and systems architecture informs the firm's approach to data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency.

Prior to Lateral Partners, Mr. Rothaus served as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Capital Formation for a multi-generational real estate family office, where he led capital raising, investor relations, and marketing across the firm's acquisitions, 1031 exchange strategies, and joint venture programs.

Before entering real estate, Mr. Rothaus built his career in the technology sector, working with a technology consulting firm that served Fortune 100 clients with a focus on systems architecture and software development. He went on to found and lead technology ventures specializing in machine learning applications for the hospitality and real estate industries, where he first developed his expertise in capital formation and fundraising strategy.
